What Love Needs
A little rhyme
What Love Needs Love does not need to be loved Nor valued, appreciated or recognised. Love does not need applause from the crowd Keys to the city, a heroes welcome. Love Does not need to be loud. Love does not need to be understood Nor does it demand your understanding Of the pain it is willing to embrace. Love needs only to know there's a smile Love put on your face. Love does not demand your perfection Nor set any standard for you to achieve. Love is not an ideology. Love doesn't care Who you vote for, or what you Choose to believe. Love will throw itself on a hand grenade Or cast it's own soul into a firery hell. Love does not need to be comforted Except by the knowing that Love Made you well. Love is not an abstraction nor is love A theory. Love is not a feeling anymore Than it is an idea. Love is not always perfectly positioned To cast out the reality of fear. Love does not need your kisses Nor the caress of your fingers on Loves own scarred and calloused skin. Love does not judge your nakedness. Loves not a game to win. Love does not need to be loved. Anonymously can love breathe in the satisfaction of knowing Of your joy, wellness and freedom. Love seeks only your growing. You may not see Love at work Nor recognise what Love can do Yet Love is there in the shadows Quietly hoping, watching, serving, Giving you to you.

I have to disagree with the sentiments of the first few lines. Love is all about being appreciated, recognised and valued. Or have I got hold of the wrong end of the stick here?
